In 1997 Dr. Siddiqi joined the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo as a resident in Anesthesiology and graduated from the program in 2001. In July 2002 he completed a fellowship in Pain Management at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Michigan. Dr. Siddiqi has since been in the Practice of pain Management and Anesthesia. He was initially appointed as Staff Anesthesiologist and Pain Management specialist at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In March 2006 he laid the foundation and established a Pain Management Center for Mercy Health partners in Batavia, Ohio. He joined the Dayton Pain Center in October 2007.
Munawar Siddiqi came to the United States from his native country Pakistan in December of 1994. He obtained his Medical degree from Sind Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He secured 2nd position in the SSC exam in 1975 and was awarded the President’s Merit Scholarship. In July 1995 he joined the Hartford Hospital, Hartford Connecticut as a Fellow in the department of EMS Trauma and graduated from his fellowship in Medical Toxicology and Emergency Medicine. He was awarded First Prize for presentation of paper at the Midwest Anesthesia Residents Conference in 2001. He remained interested in research and teaching and continued to publish in peer reviewed journals, Journal of clinical Toxicology and Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology.
Dr Siddiqi is a Member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, American Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Clinical Toxicologists and Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America.
